Volume and Price in the 5N Market

Thought it would be interesting to look at the volume of 5N.com sales.  Here is the list of 5N domains sold each month in the past few years, according to Shortnames.  The average is 325 domains sold/month, and early this year it was running well behind the average.  In April sales picked up a bit, and May seems to be on track for a normal month as well.

While volume picked back up last month, price has seemed to fall off.  Floor price according to Shortnames is now under $300, and looking on Ename, 5n's are being offered for sale at even lower buy-it-now prices (e.g., 36430 for 1,528 CNY, or $215 USD, and 14684 for 1,700 CNY, or $237 USD).
