NNNNN's Buyout Sticking, Daily Drops Falling's have been all registered for a couple months now (since the beginning of October).  The drops get picked up regularly, and the number of daily drops has fallen since the buyout.

In the third quarter of 2011, there were 54.8 drops per day on average.  In the fourth quarter so far, there have been 46.2 drops per day (and only 40.1 so far in December).

Here is a graph showing the daily drops by month:

Not surprisingly, the fall in daily drops coincided with the buyout.  As demand is increasing for numeric domains, supply is tightening, and that makes holders more likely to renew their domains.

The average number of daily drops is nearing the raw number of's that drop on a daily basis.
